Hello and welcome! you are listening to bite sized branding – the podcast the helps you with your branding in bite sized chunks! I am your host – Tabitha Mills from Brand Print Promote.

In this weeks episode we are going to go through the tenth and final step and in your branding journey. If you haven’t already listened to episode one to nine – you might want to do that first. These initial podcasts are here to set you up for clear concise branding for you and or your business – working through them systematically will set you up with all the tools you need.

Step Ten: Ongoing content

We hear the word content thrown around a lot these days and really, what is content? It can be anything that you produce for your business from the wording on your website, images, podcasts or even videos. It isn’t as scary as you think!

By this point you have already created your logo, website, social media and printed materials so what’s left is the stuff you are going to do every day/week/month or year. You might be a hairdresser and thinking oh what on earth can I do regularly to keep my audience engaged. A few ideas could be before and after shots, tutorials on how to do certain styles, hair care tips or even product reviews. The limit is really your own creativity.

What we will always recommend though is that you start your content at your website and lead everyone back to there. Take these podcasts for example, you can find them on all sorts of podcast platforms, but they are all on our website where you can actually read transcripts and get all the downloads when there are worksheets. Once someone is on your website, they get the opportunity to look at everything else that you have to offer and by producing continuous content you create a constant revolving door of people being directed to you.

Producing ongoing content, whether it be blog posts, videos or even podcasts it all goes towards keeping you front of mind with your potential clients. You become the trusted source of information on your specialty. The other thing that you can do to improve your status as an expert in your field is to write a book. This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but being a published author sure does speak volumes when it comes to be a trusted resource for people.
